We start by walking up the eastside of "The Sarcophagus"(500 asl) through the moraines of the Larsbreen glacier. On the top, we rest and enjoy the view over Longyearbyen and Adventfjorden. Towards the Longyearbreen glacier we pass through a fascinating moraine landscape. On the glacier we use crampons if the conditions require it, and we might pass some melting channels while crossing the ice down the valley. In the end moraines we look for 60 million year old fossils of plants, to bring home. The trip starts with a reasonable gradient and “a rugged floor”. Minimum 1 person
