Billefjorden Kayak expedition: Nordenskiold Glacier

The fjords of Svalbard constitute the vital nerve for sustaining nature and wildlife during the Arctic summertime. Seabirds are nesting in mountain cliffs, the arctic fox hunts for goose eggs along the shoreline, and polar bears hunt for seals on the ice by the glacier front. Billefjorden is precisely such a fjord with a buzzing wildlife. It also offers a fantastic mountain and glacier landscape, as well as many culturally historic remains of shelters and settlements from previous human activities on Svalbard. During this trip we will explore the fjord by the sea route, just like the Arctic explorers of old. Four entire days of kayak paddling will guarantee a rich Svalbard experience. Minimum 4 participants - some kayak experience is required. - more info @ wildlife.no
