Join us for a fjord safari to the Von Post Glacier located in Tempelfjorden. We leave Longyearbyen, and pass the bird cliffs at Diabas before we get into Sassen- and Tempelfjorden. On our way in, we will see Fredheim, which was the home of one of Svalbard most famous hunters - Hilmar Nøis. There is a rich bird life in Tempelfjorden, and the northern fulmar follows the boat to the glacier where we are met by an impressive sight. By the glacier we take a break in the boat. We head out of Tempelfjorden, and towards Skansebukta on the other side of Isfjorden. If the weather allows it, we go ashore for lunch in one of the finest bays in the fjord. If time and conditions permit, we drive past Svenskhuset on our way back to Longyearbyen. Note! Early in the season it might be too much ice in Tempelfjorden to get all the way to the glacier front.
