The midnight sun makes its appearance, and in this period it is daylight round the clock. Migratory birds return and the hillsides are filled with abundant wildlife. You will be picked up at your accommodation and be provided with warm clothes and shoes. We will have a briefing about snowmobiling before we head out to Tempelfjorden and the mighty glacier front of the Tuna - and Von Post glacier. There is something special about travelling through the beautiful winter landscape at night in broad daylight. On our way we stop at Fredheim, where Hilmar Nois spent 26 of 38 winters. Here we can see the world's only boat hotel which is frozen into the ice – Noordenlicht - with the majestic Temple Mountain in the background. In Tempelfjorden you will experience polar nature as the ancient explorers and adventurers did hundreds of years ago. If you are lucky you might get a glimpse of the "King of the Arctic" - the polar bear – while he’s strolling around in search for food.
