Longyearbyen

Northern lights in the Dog yard Dog sledging and northern lights photography in a huskies’ dog yard For this tour we pick you up at your accommodation and drive you to a meeting point outside Longyearbyen. There we meet the musher. He will pick you up with his dogs and bring you to the dog yard. The sled will glide through Adventdalen towards Mine 7. The dog yard is situated in Bolterdalen, a southbound branch of Adventdalen. Here we are far away from the light pollution of Longyearbyen and can picture northern lights in all its beauty. A musher will introduce you to the dog yard. Here you have all the time you need for the pictures and during that always the opportunity to get warm again in the tent. The location is close to [The Kjell Henriksen Observatory]. The absolutely undisturbed darkness here during the polar night even offers the opportunity to have a try at astrophotography. Warm dinner will be served in the tent.
