All in one! – Sightseeing, Husky Visit and Scenery Join us on “All in one! – Sightseeing, Husky Visit and Scenery”. This is a tailor-made trip, if you would like to have it all in one package. After picking you up from your accommodation, we will start with a sightseeing tour by car all around Longyearbyen and to the Svalbard Global Seed Vault. Carved deep into the permafrost, the Seed Vault preserves an incredible array of the world’s species of plants. Your knowledgeable guide will share some insight about the Global Seed Vault and Svalbard’s important place in the world of science and conservation. Important! We will not be able to enter the Vault since the entrance is forbidden. Depending on the preference of the group, we can prioritize and spend either more time sightseeing and stopping for photos, or bird watching, or if it is your wish, even take a little Tundra walk to discover Svalbards Flora during the short Arctic Summer. It is all up to you, depending on what interests you the most. Before we take you back to your hotel, we will finish our tour at our dog kennel in Adventdalen, where you can meet our lovely pack of around 50 Alaskan Huskies. In our Turf Hut you may sit, eat some cake and drink a good warm coffee/tea. Between the months of May and July, our dogyard is surrounded by the 3rd biggest Eider Duck colony in the Icefjords (over 250 nesting birds). At Villmarkssenter you can sit outside and observe the ducks while you drink something warm.
