This is a moderate hike where we are heading out of town to experience the magnificent Arctic light. The aim of this trip is not to walk fast or fare, but to experience the magic light of the polar night. Our guide will meet you in the reception at Basecamp Trappers Hotel, centrally located in Longyearbyen. Depending on the weather and snow conditions; the trip will take place in Advent valley or one of the side valleys. To let your eyes adapt to the darkness, the trip will mainly take place without use of the head lamps. Our guide will give information about what we see, and also tell you about the magnificent northern light – if we are really lucky we might even get the opportunity to experience this amazing phenomenon.
