Ice caving

At a short distance from Longyearbyen it is possible to go down and into ice caves. Experienced guides lead the way either on foot, snow mobile or snowtrack vehicles to grottoes where you can explore fantastic formations of ice and stone shaped by the forces of nature. No previous glacier-crossing experience necessary. Not recommended for persons with claustrophobia or for persons with limited mobility.
