We welcome you in Longyearbyen! This activity gives you both a nature and wildlife experience when you arrive in Longyearbyen. We will start with picking you up from the cruise terminal. We will drive along the coastline over a dirt road where we are on the lookout for Beluga's and Walruses in the fjords, before we will park our car and start our short hike through the valley of Bjørndalen. In this valley we will look for the Svalbard Reindeer, the Arctic Fox and many birds. This beautiful valley full of flora & fauna gives you a view over the fjord with the glaciers at the end, makes it a great introduction of Svalbard. This trip is also suitable for children and combines a a bit of hiking and enjoying the valley. Warm drinks and snacks included.
