This is one of our most complete snowmobile expeditions, taking you over 500 kilometres through some of Svalbard's most spectacular and remote landscapes. From the famous East Coast—home to drifting sea ice, towering icebergs and the kingdom of the polar bear—to the hidden southern valleys that few visitors ever get to experience.
Along the way, you'll explore ice caves, ride across glaciers and sea ice, try your hand at Arctic ice fishing, spend three nights in remote wilderness camps, and travel far beyond the standard tourist routes.
Leave civilisation behind and experience four unforgettable days in the true Arctic.
The evening before… We will pick you up from your accommodation. We will the evening before a welcome dinner together with your guide(s) and will brief you about our upcoming expedition. We will bring you back to your accommodation for a good night sleep.
Day 1: It is adventure day - We will... - Pick you up early and transfer you to our basecamp. - Get dressed in proper suits and boots, which you will all get from us. - Head out towards the East Coast! Our first destination of our expedition. - Drive over glaciers and large valleys. - Scout for wildlife. - Explore massive icebergs and drive on sea ice - Sleep in our wilderness camp on the East Coast. - Take turns on polar bear watch.
Day 2: Traveling from East to South - We will... - Prepare a good coffee to get us started for the day. - Leave the East Coast behind, making our way towards the beautiful Southern parts. - Take unique routes and show you some of the best the Arctic has to offer. - Drive up all the way to Van Mijenfjorden and Paulabreen. - Sleep in our comfortable wilderness tent camp with a warm fire inside. - Enjoy warm expedition dinner, great stories and a good night sleep. - Take turns on polar bear watch.
Day 3: Let’s go beyond - We will... - Leave our comfortable tent camp behind. - Set course to Camp Morton. - Go ice fishing at Linnevatnet and we will try to catch our own dinner! - Set up camp at Grønfjorden area. - Take turns on polar bear watch.
Day 4: Time passed by too fast - We will... - Have our last expedition day. - Explore an ice cave. - Pass by Barentsburg - mining settlement. - Drive along the beautiful coastline. - Be sad that this is our last day. - Have a ton of memories. - Have a great dinner together in one of the restaurants.
